These terms apply when you use mercyandlight.com or purchase from Mercy & Light. Mercy & Light is a trade name of Aster Strategies LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Mercy & Light", "we", "us"). Please read these terms together with our shipping policy, return and refund policy and privacy policy. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

Orders and payment

You must be at least the age of majority where you live and legally able to make a purchase, and you must provide accurate order, contact and payment details that you are authorized to use. Prices are in US dollars. Applicable taxes, shipping charges and discounts are shown at checkout. The price you pay is the price shown when you place your order. Payment must be confirmed before production begins. Our products are sold for personal and household use, not for resale.

We may decline or cancel an order because of suspected fraud, product unavailability or an obvious pricing or listing error. If this happens after payment, we will notify you and refund the canceled items. We will not charge a higher price without your agreement.

Pre-orders

For pre-orders, payment is taken at checkout and the estimated dispatch window shown on the product page is an estimate, not a guarantee. You can cancel a pre-order for a full refund at any time before it ships. If we cannot ship by the estimated time, we will contact you as described in our shipping policy.

Our products

Our canvases are made to order by specialist printing partners, and our books are printed by specialist book printers. Please review the artwork, dimensions and finish before purchasing. Product and room images illustrate how an item may look and are not a scale guide; product details list the actual dimensions. Screen settings and lighting can affect displayed colors; small print and natural wood-grain variations can occur. These differences do not excuse a faulty item or an item that materially differs from its description. Remedies for damaged, defective or incorrect items are set out in our return and refund policy.

Shipping, changes and returns

Production and delivery estimates, shipping charges, cancellation limits and remedies for damaged or incorrect items are set out in the policies linked above. Nothing in these terms or policies removes your statutory consumer rights.

Intellectual property

The website and its content, including the artwork, illustrations, text, photographs, videos, the Mercy & Light name and logo, and product designs, are owned by Mercy & Light or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Buying a product gives you the physical item to own and enjoy. It does not transfer any right to reproduce, sell, distribute or commercially use the artwork, branding or website content, and you may not copy, modify or republish them without our written permission.

Your feedback and messages

If you send us reviews, comments, photos or suggestions, you allow us to use, reproduce and publish them to run, improve and promote our business, without payment to you. Please only send content that you own or have the right to share, and that is truthful and reflects your own experience.

Using this website

Please use the site lawfully. Do not interfere with its operation or security, attempt unauthorized access, upload malicious code, submit fraudulent orders, misuse another person's information or impersonate anyone. Do not scrape, copy or extract site content or data in bulk for commercial use without our permission. We may suspend access or cancel accounts that break these rules.

Third-party services

Our store runs on Shopify, and payments, shipping and some features are provided by third parties under their own terms. Your purchase is made with Mercy & Light, not with Shopify. We are not responsible for third-party websites you reach through links on our site.

Responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, Mercy & Light is not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of this website or a purchase, and our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. The website content is provided for general information and may contain occasional errors, which we will correct. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or your rights concerning faulty, misdescribed or undelivered goods.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to cover reasonable losses and costs we incur because of your fraudulent use of the site or your deliberate breach of these terms.

Resolving problems

If something goes wrong with an order, please contact us first at support@mercyandlight.com so we can try to put it right. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, except where the law of your home state gives you the right to bring a claim locally or to rely on its mandatory consumer protections.

Electronic communications

By placing an order, you agree that we may send you order and service messages electronically, including by email. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any marketing email.

General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to a successor business that takes over the Mercy & Light store; your rights are not reduced by such a transfer.

Updates and contact

We may update these terms for future use and purchases. The terms in effect when you placed your order apply to that order.
